Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing protection systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

He said that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under intense attacks overnight. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for further attacks.
